Unlike anything else available on the plastic card market, the Versatile Photo Frame Card (Versa-Pocket Card) gives customers the ability of personally customize their cards with photos or other objects that will fit in the card pocket. With an opening on one side, the pocket is created between the two sheets that make up the card. "Previously, card customization has been done by machine with limited choices. With this new invention, end users can customize their cards by themselves choosing from a wide range of materials to produce unique designs, such as photos, printouts, magazine clippings, flowers, leaves, etc.," said Nick Cooney, president of VCT. There is virtually no limitation as long as the materials fit within the pocket or frame. These cards can be used as gift cards, bank cards, promotional cards, loyalty cards, and more. Other uses can be as photo frames, corporate cards with logos inserted, confetti cards, scented cards or more. Patent pending, several aspects of this card are unique including materials, process, and even the idea itself. Consumer testing of the card was launched on a limited basis during the 2004 holiday season. After aesthetic and functional modifications, the card is now available for a wider market. Versatile Photo Frame Cards produced by VCT made their nationwide debut in the United States in time for this year’s holiday season and are now available through major retailers and food chains.
